Mario Strikers Battle League: Best Yoshi Build Guide

Yoshi is a playable character in Mario Strikers: Battle League with high base stats in Shooting and Passing. Shooting determines the power of a shot and the speed at which it travels across the field. Therefore, Yoshi's high Shooting attribute of 17 makes it much more challenging for goalies to block their shots. On the other hand, Passing dictates the speed at which the ball is passed from one teammate in Mario Strikers: Battle League to another. This attribute also applies to Free Passes. Like their Shooting, Yoshi has a Passing of 17, meaning that they are capable of delivering the ball to another unit with extreme swiftness.

With these unique character traits in mind, Mario Strikers: Battle League fans must provide Yoshi with a build that takes advantage of their kit. Furthermore, a solid team comp is also essential to making this build more effective. If players have characters with high Shooting on their team in Mario Strikers: Battle League, such as Rosalina or Bowser, then the best build for Yoshi would be a maximized Passing build, which utilizes Yoshi as a scoring playmaker for the team. The recommended gear pieces for this build are the Chain Gauntlets, Chain Plate, Chain Boots, and Bushido Helmet. Keep in mind that the Bushido Set is only available after completing the Normal Mode in Cup Battles.

Below is a list of the best gear for Yoshi and a team comp that would complement their build in a match in Mario Strikers: Battle League:

  • Head: Bushido Helmet - increases Passing by 4 points while reducing Strength, Speed, Shooting, and Technique by 1 point
  • Arms: Chain Gauntlets - increases Passing by 2 points but reduces Shooting by 2 points
  • Body: Chain Plate - increases Passing by 2 points but reduces Technique in Mario Strikers by 2 points
  • Legs: Chain Boots - increases Passing by 2 points but reduces Strength by 2 points
  • Rosalina - main scorer with high Shooting
  • Yoshi - offers high Passing and Shooting for upfront plays
  • Peach - offers high Passing and Technique for playmaking and dribbling
  • Bowser - can substitute for Rosalina and offers high Strength
