Why Little People, Big World Fans Think Zach & Tori Didn't Deserve Farm

Zach Roloff and his wife Tori Roloff have been at odds with Matt Roloff over not being given the family farm on Little People, Big World season 23, but many viewers think that they don't deserve Roloff Farms for several reasons. Zach and Tori began dating in 2010, and Tori was first introduced on LPBW as Zach's girlfriend in season 10. The two were later married in 2015 in a special LPBW season 14 episode.

Matt's decision to sell Roloff Farms after 30 years of ownership has been the central storyline of LPBW season 23. Zach made it clear that he wanted to assume ownership for years, yet Matt ultimately decided to list part of the farm for sale for $4 million. Zach, Matt, and Tori's relationship has been strained since, with Zach publicly accusing his father of being manipulative. Tensions in the family didn't improve either when Zach and Tori moved to Battle Ground, Washington, in late 202

Zach and Tori have taken Matt's decisions regarding Roloff Farms hard, which has been heavily documented on LPBW season 23. Although the couple (and Zach, in particular) are almost desperate to take over the land, viewers aren't convinced that they deserve the famed pumpkin patch. Below are some reasons why fans on Reddit agree that Zach and Tori don't deserve to own the farm.

One reason why LPBW fans think that Zach and Tori don't deserve Roloff Farms is the way they treat Zach's mother and Matt's ex-wife, Amy Roloff. Amy, who divorced Matt in 2016 after almost 30 years of marriage, remarried Chris Marek in 2021. While Amy has always been a dedicated mom to her children, some Redditors can't get past the way Amy is treated by Zach and Tori. "I'm re-watching Season 20, and not only are Zach and Tori encouraging of Matt's stance to push Amy off the farm...but they have a terrible reaction to her engagement," the original Redditor said. Many agreed with this assessment, including another person who highlighted, "Zach and Tori were horrible to Amy and kissed up to Matt and Caryn when they thought it was going to benefit them."

Viewers tuning into the latest seasons of LPBW have long-considered Zach and Tori to be manipulative and entitled. Many have called out their reactions at not being sold the farm on season 23 despite Matt not being obligated to accept their negotiations. In addition, fans of the show think that Zach and Tori try to manipulate Matt with his grandchildren, particularly 5-year-old Jackson. "It is eye-opening to me how Zach & Tori take & expect," one Redditor stated, while another user defended Matt's position, despite the criticism viewers have against him, commenting, "People always point fingers at Matt and his farm, [but] it's a business. Either you step up or find a different way in life."

One of the biggest reasons fans aren't sold on Zach and Tori acquiring Roloff Farms is because they don't appear to have the required skills or experience to run it. Despite growing up on the farm, Zach has hardly been seen tending to the land in over 20 seasons of LPBW. Similarly, Tori was a kindergarten teacher before starting a family with Zach and, at least throughout LPBW, hasn't shown any interest in cultivating the pumpkin patch. "[Zach and Tori] have very little real world experience," one Redditor commented, while several others criticized the duo's lack of work ethic. Although Zach and Tori seem to think that they deserve to take over Roloff Farms, LPBW viewers believe the opposite.
