The 10 Best Quotes From Gavin And Stacey | Screen Rant

Gavin And Stacey was arguably one of the best British TV sitcom series of recent years. Fans bathed in the dry humor and uniqueness of the characters while willing for their favorites to cut the tension and finally make it in the world of relationships. Gavin and Stacey themselves might not have been the firm favorites with fans, but the show still provided some iconic individuals, one-liners and hilarious moments.

Fans have been treated to various specials since the series ended, and they have loved each and every one. The one-liners will stay in fans' minds forever, re-watching their most memorable moments through the most iconic quotes of the show.

Bryn was enthusiastic and often seen getting excited about the smallest of things. He was sometimes a few years behind others in terms of technology, and this was one of those times. This quote is where Bryn explained the perks of YouTube, but he still didn't fully understand the process.

Fans loved the fact that he got so excited by his Myspace friend requests, but they really loved that he also thought YouTube was live TV. Fans adored Bryn for his naivety and they related to him, even if they were laughing at him. Bryn was by far one of the fans' most loved characters.

Doris was a minor British sitcom actor, but one of the best. Fans loved her for her honesty and outspoken shocking comments. Doris liked the men, especially Gavin. She liked to know what was going on, even if it didn't affect her, and she certainly liked a drink, even if she didn't always admit it.

This classic Doris line will be etched in the minds of fans forever, laughing in the reality of Doris herself, wishing they had neighbors just like her.

Nessa wasn't known for her warm heart, but fans loved her nonetheless. Nessa dressed up as Santa for the kids, to earn some money, when Gavin walked in. Gavin was on one of his many missions to talk to Stacey, and he wanted to speak to Nessa first.

In true Nessa style, she didn't let him escape unscathed. Not only did he have to sit on her knee, but she also forced him to pay the standard fee. Nessa took no prisoners and fans loved her for it. She might not have been a big talker, but when she did speak, fans found it hilarious!

Pete and Dawn's relationship left fans with more questions than answers, on one minute and off the next. Pete was always trying to fight for Dawn's affections, and Dawn was often seen rejecting him. Fans of the show could see how Pete could be irritating but it didn't stop them from feeling a bit sorry for him.

Pete was the butt of many jokes, and this eternity ring was no exception. Fans saw Pete and Dawn be the constant source of awkward moments, and Mick's 'Puff Daddy' comment took the biscuit.

Fans loved Pam and her one-liners, if she wasn't arguing with Mick, she was smothering Gavin. Fans related to her realness. She could often be found putting on her airs and graces, or at least trying. Fans noticed she didn't feel good enough for others, but nine times out of 10 it was Pam's judgment of herself, which made her come out with some of her best and most memorable quotes.

Fans will remember this iconic line when she tried to cover up her drinking. Pam wasn't an alcoholic, but she enjoyed a tipple, and many a fan could relate to this line, making her a firm fan favorite!

Stacey didn't rank high on the likability scale in Gavin And Stacey, despite being in the title of the show. Fans didn't always connect to her, and often found her more irritating than any other character. However, that didn't stop them from appreciating some of her classic lines.

Stacey was in the early days of dating Gavin, but fans didn't know if she was trying to convince Gavin or herself here. Fans remember this as one of the most relatable Stacey moments!

This is another of Bryn's cracking one-liners. Bryn loved technology. It fascinated him but that didn't mean he understood it. He was often found talking to Gavin about the impact of technology and the improvements it has on life, forgetting Gavin actually works in I.T. himself.

This time, Bryn was trying to think of an easy way to remember "WWW," until Gavin suggested the World Wide Web. Fans wouldn't have found it so funny, but Bryn still didn't get the joke, the joke as usual was on him. Bryn had a kind heart and fans gravitated towards him.

Unfortunately, Gavin and Stacey has ended, but fans luckily had the Christmas specials, which provided some of the best British comedy around. The main series left fans with quotes from Mick, who was known for his honesty, he was caring yet truthful and fans couldn't get enough.

This classic line came when talking to Bryn about the Welsh language. Bryn couldn't speak Welsh, and he was embarrassed. Mick just said what the fans were thinking, which is why he had such a strong fan following. Mick could get away with his one-liners because he was Mick. This line showed his curiosity, confusion and humor, which is what his character was about.

Alison Steadman, one of the best British comedy actors, plays Pam in this iconic show. This is one of Pam's many gems, and it was a fan favorite quote of the whole series, not necessarily because it was the wittiest, but because Pam took the words right out of everyone's mouths.

Stacey told a story to Pam about how she had overslept for breakfast, so she just had a banana, and then she went on to eat brunch because it wasn't breakfast or lunch. The conversation was in typical Stacey style, and fans listened to the ramble, willing her to stop. If nothing else, fans could count on Pam for speaking the truth with a smile on her face and a cup of tea in her hand!

Bryn might have admitted he couldn't speak Welsh, but Nessa could. She would throw the odd bit of Welsh in here and there, not that anyone else knew if what she was saying was right. Pam had just discovered that "Bryn" meant hill in Welsh, and the conversation went on to the meaning of her name.

This was a classic Pam moment where the joke was on her. Fans loved her naivety, and they basked in her confusion. Pam and Nessa were firm favorites of the show, and when they were on screen together, they were unstoppable!
