1000-lb Sisters' Tammy Slaton seems to be in loads of trouble when it comes to handling her finances. Her list of problems never seems to end. Whether it is followers doubting her weight loss or her own sister, Amy, refusing to help her with a place to say, Tammy just has one issue piling up after another. For three seasons, Tammy has been stuck in her own head as she has failed over and over again to lose the excess weight. As viewers learned, she had a rough childhood and never learned how to take care of her earnings.
Even though Tammy may have made headway with her health issues, she seems to be lacking when it comes to her finances. The reality star has had to put a lot of her money into saving her own life. Tammy recently shelled out a large amount to be able to stay in a weight-loss rehab center.
Amy recently spoke with The Sun regarding her sister's financial woes. According to Amy, Tammy lost her home because she just couldn't afford rent. Tammy has been staying in an Ohio rehab center for food addiction but was residing in a $239,000 Kentucky duplex. The two sisters had shared the cost of their duplex, but Amy has since moved out, leaving Tammy with an even bigger bill to deal with.
The 35-year old has been living in Ohio for just over a month now and at least has seen a drop in her weight. However, this progress has come with a financial expense. Amy also revealed that Tammy has been paying for things via her social security. Viewers were surprised to learn that the TLC show is not paying a dime towards her recovery. Amy also shared that her sister is worried she won't be able to afford a place to live, which is why audiences have seen her begging Amy to live with her. Amy admitted that once her sister leaves rehab, she will come to stay with her but only for a little bit.
Even though TLC and 1000-lb Sisters have paid for Tammy's rehab in the past, the two sisters are earning an undisclosed amount as their salary. Tammy is clearly worried about the state of her life whether she is in rehab or out. TLC viewers are hoping the network will announce a season 4 of the hit show as the news will undoubtedly also help with Tammy's financial issues.
