One of the best sitcoms to have graced screens in the last decade is the Canadian series created by Dan & Eugene Levy, Schitt's CreekThe Emmy award-winning show is a critical success as well as a beloved one among its fans. After watching the recent Super Bown Nissan ad, fans may have started missing Schitt's Creek.

Even though it does not have a large number of episodes in this arsenal, the show was able to offer some of the best episodes found anywhere on television. IMDb will help fans in deciding the best episode from each season of the show.

Schitt's Creek had a bit of a rocky start and in season 1, it was still trying to find its footing. The last episode of season 1 is by far the best from the bunch, but still lacks the fun and excellence present in other episodes on the list. The Rose family was extremely unlikeable in season 1, but the finale, "Town For Sale," made sure to make fans laugh at them and their idiosyncrasies.

The Roses are ready to leave the town for good, making elaborate plans and poor life choices, and ruining their relationships with many people from the town. The episode ends at a cliffhanger, which is enough for fans to tune in to the next season.

The best-rated episode on IMDb from season 2 is again its season finale, "Happy Anniversary." However, this installment is not just the best from the season, but one of the best episodes of Schitt's Creek. This season followed the journey of the Roses finally adapting to their life at Schitt's Creek and growing along the way.

The finale sees them learning important life lessons and they appear more human than ever to the fans. Johnny and Moira learn that they never really had real friendships until they came to this town. The last scene of the episode when the Roses dance together in Mutt's barn and profess their love for each other is one of the most endearing scenes of the entire sitcom to date. Through the episode, fans learn that the Roses have not only become closer to one another but also forged deep friendships with the townspeople.

The season 3 finale, "Grad Night," is again one of the best episodes of the Canadian sitcom. It is definitely an Alexis-focused episode and her character development steals the show. Fans cannot believe that the superficial and vain girl introduced at the beginning of the story has come such a long way. All those things are still a part of her personality, but she is now focusing on her self-growth, education, and ambitions.

Alexis and Moira were never the ideal mother-daughter, but this episode definitely brings them closer. One of the best moments of the episode is when David and Patrick kiss at the end of their date, which initiates their journey of becoming the best couple in Schitt's Creek

By season 4, fans are in love with the show along with all its main characters, and the season's best episode, according to IMDb, is the 12th installment, "Singles' Week." Alexis shines in this episode as she single-handedly manages an event successfully on her own. The episode also brings her and Ted's relationship to the forefront and no one can deny that their chemistry lights up the entire room in the episode.

Along with the sweet romance between Alexis and Ted, the episode also doesn't lack great humor. Steve, Johnny, and Bob run around the entire town trying to find Roland because Jocelyn is in labor and it makes for laugh-out-loud comedy. Due to all these reasons, the episode is definitely a memorable one for the fans.

The best-rated episode of Schitt's Creek on IMDb is the 11th episode of season 5, "Meet The Parents." It portrays a positive coming-out experience devoid of any drama, which is so rare in mainstream media. Patrick comes out to his parents in the episode and his family is loving and supporting. The scene is heartfelt and might make a fan shed some happy tears.

What is worth noting is how David acts so mature in the episode, standing by his boyfriend through the entire experience and assuring him that whatever happens, he will be there with him. It is a testament to David's character development as he was extremely immature at the beginning of the series, but now he is a responsible, supporting, and loving boyfriend.

Season 6 was filled with heartwarming episodes, as one would expect from the final season of Schitt's Creek. "Start Spreading The News" is the best episode of the season though as it focuses on the growth of the Rose family. The Roses' lives are going through pretty big changes, with David marrying Patrick, Alexis' career taking off, Johnny's business expanding, and Moira eyeing a comeback to the soap opera world.

The episode provides a front seat to the audience to the Rose family making some of their biggest life decisions. The show-stealing scene, however, is the one where David realizes that all he needs is Patrick by his side, and he decides to stay in Schitt's Creek because that would make Patrick happy. It is a selfless act on David's part and fans couldn't help but fall in love with the couple even more.
