Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Book of Boba Fett episode 7.
While The Book of Boba Fett saw Din Djarin forging Grogu a chainmail shirt of beskar to wear, the child may have just earned his own signet ahead of The Mandalorian season 3. Choosing Djarin over the continuation of his Jedi training with Luke Skywalker, Grogu reunited with the Mandalorian in the finale episode of The Book of Boba Fett. As such, the duo aided Tatooine's newest crime lord in his defense of Mos Espa from the Pyke syndicate, resulting in an epic victory over a rancor for the young child, deserving of commemoration.
In The Mandalorian season 1, Din Djarin defended Grogu from an attacking mudhorn, slaying the beast after the child used the Force to help his new protector. As a result, the new armor forged for Djarin bore his new signet: the skull of a mudhorn on the shoulder plate to mark his victory in battle. Now, it may be time for Grogu to receive his own signet, not only due to his decision to reunite with Djarin but also after defeating his own mighty beast in The Book of Boba Fett's finale.
In The Book of Boba Fett episode 7, Grogu's short time with Luke resulted in a greater confidence in his abilities using the Force. As such, he helped Djarin in his battle with one of the Pykes' Separatist-era Scorponek droids by taking out one of its legs. However, after Boba Fett lost control of his rancor the beast went on a rampage. While Djarin ultimately failed in his attempts to regain control of the raging creature, Grogu was surprisingly the one who saved the day. Facing down the massive rancor on his own Grogu used the Force to put it to sleep, bringing an end to the destruction. As a result, it certainly seems as though Grogu has earned himself a rancor-styled signet in the near future of the Star Wars timeline.

Turning away from his Jedi path, it certainly looks as though Grogu is prepared to be with Djarin as a true Mandalorian foundling. Having already received his own beskar chainmail from Djarin, it would certainly be impressive to see the child getting further protection such as shoulder plating bearing a rancor's skull. While The Mandalorian season 3 is still in production, it's been rumored that it will involve the liberation of Mandalore. As such, it certainly seems like it would be a dangerous enough environment to warrant additional protection for Grogu beyond chainmail (opening the door for a potential signet).
Grogu taking down the massive rancor in The Book of Boba Fett is the epic epitome of "size matters not." As such, it's an impressive victory that should be remembered in the same fashion as any other Mandalorian proving their mettle. Here's hoping Din Djarin recognizes that fact and will take steps to armor his young charge accordingly heading into future Star Wars appearances such as The Mandalorian season 3 and beyond.
The Book of Boba Fett is streaming now on Disney+.
