WandaVision Deleted Quicksilver Scene Revealed In Concept Art

New concept art reveals a WandaVision deleted scene featuring Quicksilver star Evan Peters. The hit TV series kicked off the MCU's Phase 4 on Disney+ with a bang, focusing on the relationship between Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they attempt to build a family in a picturesque 1950s town. However, as the series progresses, the darker truth of their idyllic life unravels, revealing Wanda's fabrication of everything around them.

In WandaVision episode 5, "A Very Special Episode...," Peters made a surprise appearance as Wanda's long dead brother Pietro, even though Aaron Taylor-Johnson played the MCU's Quicksilver in the MCU film Avengers: Age of Ultron. Peters portrayed the character Peter Maximoff in Fox's X-Men franchise, beginning with X-Men: Days of Future Past. Many fans speculated Peters' inclusion into the MCU in his alternate franchise character was confirmation of the multiverse and future crossovers - however, later in the series, it was revealed that Peters was actually the neighbor, Ralph Bohner, controlled by the witch Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn).

Now, new concept art shared by artist Chris Nichols reveals a WandaVision deleted Quicksilver scene. In the rendering, Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) tends to Ralph, who kneels at the edge of Agatha's lair, which contains the Darkhold, a spell book of immense dark power. Wanda's twin sons, Tommy and Billy, stand at the far end, fading from existence. Check out the original concept art below:

According to director Matt Shakman, the original WandaVision deleted Quicksilver scene featured Tommy and Billy leading Darcy, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Ralph down into Agatha's basement to retrieve the Darkhold in an attempt to stop the witch. Before they could reach the book, they are surprised by Agatha's rabbit, Señor Scratchy. At first, the rabbit appears to be harmless - until it transforms into a demon. The director explained that the scene was cut due to pacing issues, as it detoured from the main conflict between Wanda and Agatha in the series' climax.

The deleted Quicksilver scene would have lengthened Ralph's role in the series finale following Monica freeing him from Agatha's spell. Although the concept art does not include Agatha's demon rabbit or Monica, the image depicts Wanda's twins vanishing from their mother's construct. Their "death" would have happened earlier than what actually occurred in the final episode, where Wanda tucked her boys in bed before collapsing her fabricated reality in on itself. Although the WandaVision X-Men Quicksilver fake-out resulted in mixed reception from audiences, the show's daring narrative laid the groundwork for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the MCU's Phase 4 going forward.
