Family Guy: 10 Episodes Where Lois Stole The Show | Screen Rant

During the first couple of seasons of Family Guy, it was evident Lois Griffin was a character meant to balance out her husband's antics. However, as the show has evolved, so has her character.

As the seasons' progress, Lois Griffin has proved not to just be another Marge Simpson clone and now has had equally zany adventures as the rest of the Griffins. With so many great adventures with Lois at the forefront, which ones truly show how important she is as a character?

When Bonnie invites Lois to her Taijutsu class, she discovers that she is a natural at it. As the episode progresses, she notices her family is becoming more violent towards each other and decides the family needs to talk these issues out, leading to a family brawl that eventually ends with the family laughing at how ridiculous they were being.

This hilarious Season 4 episode sees Lois as she becomes addicted to shoplifting after stealing a ham from the grocery store. She is eventually caught when Joe realized she had a stolen painting in their dining room.

This is one of the many episodes that prove how essential Lois is to the family when they are forced to fend for themselves in her absence, causing the family to break Lois out of prison and flee to "Asiantown" until they are eventually tracked down by Joe.

Another essential Season 4 Episode, "The Fat Guy Strangler" sees Lois as she unravels the mystery of a secret brother she never knew about. She eventually finds him at a local insane asylum, where he is put for an unknown reason.

Their reunion is sweet but is cut short abruptly when it is discovered that her brother is the infamous "Fat Guy Strangler" when she learns that Peter is one of his targets. Lois manages to save Peter before he could be in any danger, and Patrick is sent back to the asylum.

When the lead anchor position for Fox News has an opening, Lois decides she should audition. While initially a fun experience, she soon realizes the Network wanted to hide the fact that Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh are a couple because it would go against their views.

When Lois decides to investigate on her own, she soon discovers that she was wrong, and both Michael Moore and Rush Limbaugh are characters created by Fred Savage to keep acting. The episode also features a hilarious B-Plot of Peter, Chris, and Meg attempting to write a TV Pilot.

In an episode that proves you shouldn't mess with Lois, Peter gets tickets to a Foxy Boxing match in town. When Peter volunteers Lois to fight a girl in the ring, she discovers that she's a great boxer, and Peter wants to be her manager.

Lois decides to retire as a boxer, but Adam West conducts a ceremony for a statue in her honor. She is soon challenged by another female boxer who says she wants to be the one to end Lois' winning streak but loses in the end.

In one of the best episodes of Season 11, Peter embarrasses Lois at her surprise party with a joke poem he wrote about how much she has aged, causing Lois to go into a midlife crisis. Peter likes that Lois is acting younger, but her party girl lifestyle was making it difficult for Peter to keep up.

When Peter sees a news broadcast about a local Justin Bieber concert that Lois went to, Peter discovers Lois is attempting to seduce Justin Bieber in his dressing room. Peter eventually apologizes for what he said at the party and explains that he loves her for who she is.

After Lois organizes a blood drive, she decides to bake cookies for those who donate. When Peter tries one, he persuades Lois to take a chance opening a cookie store called "Peter's Wife's Cookies".

Peter is concerned about the lack of business the store is getting, and Quagmire explains that if he has more women in the store, customers will keep coming in, causing Peter to make the store a cookie-themed strip club for business. Once Peter realizes that he ruined her business, they sell it back to the bank.

This episode sees Quagmire unintentionally pocket-dialing Peter about how he is in love with Lois, and Peter struggling to move past it. At a family barbecue, Peter and Quagmire get into a fight and Quagmire decides to move.

Lois decides that it's ridiculous for Peter to obsess over it because Quagmire is his best friend and would never attempt anything. She soon visits Quagmire at his new apartment, and everybody agrees to never speak of the incident again and remain friends.

Family Guy has a history of making fun of the latest fads, one of which was minimalism. When Lois reads a book by Tricia Takanawa about decluttering, Lois becomes obsessed with throwing things away.

She soon goes insane and gets rid of everything in the house, including the family, but still didn't feel the joy the book said it would bring. Once the family finds her, Lois apologizes and they return home to obtain the items they gave away.

In "Customer of the Week", we see Lois' daily routine in dealing with her dysfunctional family and what she does on her own. When Lois starts to feel unappreciated, she attends the same coffee shop daily to win their "Customer of the Week" contest.

She plots a way to earn customer of the week by saving the life of a barista with a peanut allergy but ends up putting her into a coma with the peanuts she planted. Trying to cover it up, Lois kidnaps another barista and his roommates, eventually being caught. She is released from Jail and goes to a new coffee shop with the same contest.
