The Flash and Superman & Lois Join Forces In New CW Arrowverse Poster

The Flash and Superman & Lois join forces in a brand new Arrowverse poster from The CW. While the Arrowverse has come a long way in 10 years, the franchise took a significant hit in 2022 due to The CW's uncertain future. With The CW close to being sold to Nexstar, the WarnerMedia and Paramount-owned network is scaling down on its superhero action. Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and Naomi were all canceled in The CW's biggest cancellation spree in years.

For the 2022-2023 TV season, only two Arrowverse shows will be back: The Flash and Superman & Lois. The only new DC TV show joining the slate in 2023 is Gotham Knights, which is not tied to any of the ongoing series. However, they will be saved for 2023, with Stargirl season 3 set to premiere as the only DC TV show this fall. The Flash will officially become the longest-running Arrowverse series with its upcoming season 9, possibly the show's final year. Superman & Lois will be heading into season 3, following the major Multiverse arc in season 2 with Bizarro World.

While The Flash and Superman & Lois weren't present for San Diego Comic-Con with panels, the shows were still featured through marketing banners. An Arrowverse-themed poster from The CW (via SuperFlashWest) has now come out in high quality, featuring Grant Gustin's The Flash, Tyler Hoechlin's Superman, and Bitsie Tulloch's Lois Lane. Check out the full poster below:

Despite The CW's DC TV shows always having a major presence at San Diego Comic-Con, there are a few key reasons Superman & Lois and The Flash didn't have panels. Both Superman & Lois season 3 and The Flash season 9 are not set to start production until September, hence their 2023 premieres. Even though Hoechlin and Tulloch were both at the event, the former was there to promote Teen Wolf: The Movie, while the latter took part in a Brave Warriors panel. In general, it would be hard to promote anything about The Flash season 9 and Superman & Lois season 3 since the scripts are all currently being written.

Even though Superman & Lois season 2 ended with the twist that the show takes place on a different Earth in the Arrowverse Multiverse, it's still great to see The CW market it together with The Flash. Even if they are taking place in respective realities, it doesn't mean that an Arrowverse crossover between Superman & Lois and The Flash couldn't happen next season. In earlier seasons, there have been numerous ways for characters to crossover from one Earth to another. While it hasn't been determined if The Flash season 10 will happen or not, The CW will likely try to do an Arrowverse crossover with Superman & Lois before its inevitable end.

The 100: The 15 Saddest Deaths In Series History

The CW's post-apocalyptic sci-fi series The 100 featured a lot of loss throughout its 100 episodes, but these The 100 deaths are the saddest in the show. Because The 100 takes place during a time period when Earth is no longer fully inhabitable, the conflicts between characters were almost always a matter of survival, and death truly did lurk around every corner. The show was never one to hold back in terms of delivering emotional moments, and it certainly wasn't shy when it came to killing off pivotal characters starting in just the third episode of The 100 . In fact, many of the deaths changed things about the show as a whole.
