Billy Gunn Trying To Lure This WWE Attitude Era Star To AEW

AEW has not been shy about scooping up so-called ex-WWE guys, and Billy Gunn says that they're trying to bring one specific Hall of Famer into the fold. Gunn, who is a WWE Hall of Fame member himself, has been a central character in All Elite's mid-card recently, with the Gunn Club turning heel on The Acclaimed and setting up what should be a fun program.

Gunn is still in remarkable shape—arguably the best shape of his career—and giving rubs to the likes of The Acclaimed and Gunn Club is a great use of his presence. He's not going to put on instant classics like other ex-WWE guys such as Bryan Danielson or Claudio Castagnoli, but he still has an important role to play. Both in front of the camera and behind it. Part of his value to AEW has to be his connections to the Attitude Era, and there's one friend, in particular, he'd like to see go All Elite.

During a recent autograph signing with K&S Wrestlefest, Gunn was asked if the Road Dogg Jesse James was going to make an appearance in AEW anytime soon. "We’re trying to get him here," Gunn said. "He’s got other things going on, his podcast that I have to hear about every single day." The podcast Gunn is referring to is Road Dogg's Oh... You Didn't Know show, which is now 15 episodes deep and available on major streaming services.

Road Dogg had been involved in WWE on and off since 1994. It took him a while to find his footing in the company as a wrestler, and he was originally saddled with one of the worst gimmicks of all time as a relatively generic country singer who tried to get over with fans by singing. Let's just say the work wasn't on the same level of Elias. Jesse James eventually tapped into the Road Dogg persona and joined D-Generation X. The rest is history, and he landed in the Hall of Fame as a result.

James was released by WWE in January due to budget cuts. He'd grown into roles as a backstage coach and producer for the company prior to that. Given all the different hats Road Dogg is capable of wearing, it'd make some sense for AEW to pursue him in some fashion. His wrestling days are most likely behind him, but it would still be fun to see him reunited with his old tag-team partner Billy Gunn. Especially since Gunn is now working with his kids on All Elite programming. It doesn't sound like anything is imminent on this front, but if Road Dogg ever gets to say his "Oh, you didn't know?" catchphrase in front of a live AEW audience, the pop would certainly be massive.

The 100: The 15 Saddest Deaths In Series History

The CW's post-apocalyptic sci-fi series The 100 featured a lot of loss throughout its 100 episodes, but these The 100 deaths are the saddest in the show. Because The 100 takes place during a time period when Earth is no longer fully inhabitable, the conflicts between characters were almost always a matter of survival, and death truly did lurk around every corner. The show was never one to hold back in terms of delivering emotional moments, and it certainly wasn't shy when it came to killing off pivotal characters starting in just the third episode of The 100 . In fact, many of the deaths changed things about the show as a whole.
