How To Complete Rekindle the Spark Quest in Destiny 2

The annual Solstice event has returned in Destiny 2, bringing new challenges, rewards, and action items to complete such as the Rekindle the Spark quest. Including this particular quest, there are others such as the Celebrating Solstice and A Guardian in Shining Armor that can be completed as well. With the addition of the Event Card, Guardians also have a couple does challenges that can be completed for limited-time rewards within Solstice. However, once Solstice concludes on Aug. 9, these challenges and quests, along with the rewards, will be locked away until the event returns in the following year.

Much like the Solstice challenges in Destiny 2, the Rekindle the Spark quest won't be available immediately. Instead, Guardians will first have to complete the Celebrating Solstice and A Guardian in Shining Armor quests. To begin the former, Guardians need only visit the Solstice host, Eva Levante, in the Tower. After receiving her gifted set of Candescent armor, Guardians can complete the Celebrating Solstice quest. Afterward, the quest called A Guardian in Shining Armor will become available, which has a comparable number of steps as Celebrating Solstice. Upon finishing the A Guardian in Shining Armor quest, players will be given the Rekindle the Spark quest.

Rekindle the Spark is a quest that will take Guardians more time to complete than either of the previous two. This is because the quest requires players to imbue a piece of fully rekindled Candescent gear. This will fully upgrade that Solstice armor piece in Destiny 2, but this quest requires players to earn multiple pieces of Kindling from the Event Challenges. Guardians should focus on the Event Challenges that are easiest to complete, or at the very least the challenges that can be progressed alongside one another. Only one piece of Candescent armor needs to be fully upgraded, however, not including the class item that cannot be imbued with Kindling.

  • Step 1: Collect 12 Silver Leaves by completing activities during Solstice with Candescent armor equipped.
  • Step 2: Transform Silver Leaves into 60 Silver Ash by completing the Bonfire Bash. Players should keep in mind that they need to be wearing their Candescent armor in order to get Silver Leaves in Destiny 2.
  • Step 3: Collect 3 Kindling by completing Event Challenges that award them.
  • Step 4: Add the maximum amount of Kindling to any piece of Candescent armor to imbue it with a Spark.
  • Step 5: Imbue a piece of fully rekindled Candescent armor with a Spark.
  • Step 6: Visit Eva Levante in the Tower.
