Baby Ewok & Wookiee Star In Adorable Star Wars Children's Show

A baby Ewok and Wookiee star in the new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars children's series called Galactic Pals. The new show is a spin-off of Star Wars: Galaxy of Creatures, an animated series that consisted of micro-episodes detailing different alien creatures that populate the Star Wars universe, such as Banthas, Wampas, and Mynocks. The show was released on both StarWars.com and the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel.

Disney is well-known for releasing a plethora of free content online, especially for media geared toward children. The Star Wars Kids channel is consistently updated with informative videos designed to educate children on the vast Star Wars lore, with videos like Star Wars Full Circle, which details a specific topic, Get Galactive, which encourages kids to maintain an active healthy lifestyle, and Let's Draw Star Wars, which teaches children how to illustrate a relatively simple drawing.

The trailer for the new Star Wars children's micro-show Galactic Pals prominently features adorable baby versions of aliens such as an Ewok and Wookiee. The animated show is hosted by a caretaker droid called M1-RE, or "Miree," a member of the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts, the same society in which the droid SF-R3, or "Aree," was part of in the original show Galaxy of Creatures. Miree introduces viewers to various creatures and shows how to properly care for the younglings of the Star Wars universe, such as Porgs, Gungans, and Jawas. Check out the official trailer below.

Although Galactic Pals is described as being aimed at fans of all ages, the show is clearly geared toward parents with very young children who would benefit the most from the lessons Miree teaches within the series. The art-style and visual aesthetic of the series is simple and colorful, reminiscent of other popular series aimed at a very young audience. Set in what appears to be a daycare center, the trailer reveals segments of the series showing the importance of playtime, meditation, and bedtime routines in a young creature's life.

Even though the animated series was developed for very young children, Star Wars fans of all ages can appreciate the adorable representation of diverse aliens in the science-fiction fantasy universe. Jabba the Hutt may have been introduced as a large slimy slave-owning slug, but the baby Hutt depicted in the trailer is anything but. Star Wars: Galactic Pals can be seen on StarWars.com and on the Star Wars Kids channel on YouTube.
