BIP: Jared Calls Ashley ‘Incredible Mother’ As He Battles COVID-19

Former Bachelor In Paradise star, Jared Haibon, who is battling COVID-19, praised his wife Ashley Iaconetti for being an incredible mom to their son, Dawson. Jared first met Ashley during Bachelor In Paradise season 2 in 2015. Ashley felt that they were destined to be together, but it wasn't until 2018 that they finally became a couple. In June of that year, Jared proposed, and The Bachelor franchise couple were married on August 11, 2019.

Ashley and Jared welcomed their son Dawson Dimitri Brady Haibon, on January 31, 2022. Dawson's name has a lot of meaning to the couple, as Dawson is the last name of Leonardo DiCaprio's character in Ashley's favorite movie, Titanic. Dimitri is a name that the couple has always liked, and Brady was added to Dawson's name to honor NFL star Tom Brady, Jared's favorite football player. Since Dawson's birth, Jared and Ashley have posted many pictures and videos of him on Instagram, gushing about how much they love him and marveling at what a good baby he is. They have also praised each other for their parenting skills, and shared honest, funny, and touching stories about being new parents.

Recently, Ashley revealed Jared is battling COVID-19, and that she and Dawson are staying away from Jared until he has fully recovered. This leaves Ashley to take care of Dawson without Jared. In a post on Instagram, Jared praised Ashley for being such a capable mom and explained what it has been like for him to be sidelined by his illness. He said that his symptoms are "a lot better now," but that he could not help with Dawson for four to five days. He said that every time he heard him cry, he felt so guilty because he knew that it was solely up to Ashley to take care of him. Jared added, "The past few days have also reinforced something I already knew. My wife is an incredible mother. She loves Dawson with all of her heart and witnessing what an amazing mother she is to him makes me want to be a better father every day."

Jared went on to say that he has always known that his wife is full of love, but seeing how Ashley cares for Dawson "has brought that to a new level." He explained that he could see how much she loves him through her actions like giving him baths while singing to him, dancing with him in the kitchen, making him smile, and "doing everything in her power to make him happy." Jared concluded the post by explaining what Ashley means to him, saying, "Seeing Ashley grow from the person I first met on that beach 7 years ago into the incredible mother she is now is something that makes life worth living. I’m lucky she decided to make me a part of her life."

Jared's heartfelt post about Ashley is beautiful because he publicly recognized what an amazing mother she is to Dawson. Bachelor In Paradise fans have seen Ashley's devotion to her baby from the minute that she announced her pregnancy. Ashley is a sweet, fun, and loving mom who lives to make Dawson happy. Hopefully, Jared will be fully recovered soon, and the couple will be reunited and resume their happy life as a family.
