Alaskan Bush People: Bear Accepts Plea Deal In Domestic Violence Case

Bear Brown sorts through his legal issues as it's revealed the Alaskan Bush People star took a plea deal in his domestic violence case. Some Discovery Channel viewers have been worried about Bear since news of his arrest last month. Now, the father of one is taking the steps to move forward after reconciling with his wife, Raiven Brown.

On March 11, Bear was arrested near his home in Loomis, Washington on Assault Fourth DV charges. At the time of his arrest, Bear, whose real name is Solomon Isaiah Freedom Brown, was accused of forcefully pushing his wife in order to try and obtain her cellphone. Alaskan Bush People viewers quickly learned that those particular charges in Washington State count as an attempted battery, proving the fight was quite serious.

Now, The Sun reports that Bear took a plea deal. Back in March, the Alaskan Bush People star asked for a jury trial but has waived his rights to that as part of accepting the plea deal. Bear is due back in Washington court on May 12, where the plea will be presented and accepted by a judge. Bear first plead not guilty to the charges, and it is unknown at this time what punishment he has now agreed to.

The news about Bear's case comes only a few weeks after Raiven asked the court to drop the no contact order she filed against him after the altercation. The fight allegedly started when Raiven was moving from their home to a trailer one night. Bear was accused of placing his hands on Raiven and holding her down. Since the altercation, the two have presented a united front and actually just celebrated their honeymoon in Seattle. Both Raiven and Bear have remained quiet regarding the private matter, with Raiven mentioning in a post that what happened between her and her husband "shouldn’t be shared online."

The two Alaskan Bush People stars shared some recent photos of their family Easter celebration, where Ami Brown was also pictured. Bear and Raiven then traveled on to Seattle, where she revealed she got a tattoo to honor their son, River. With the legal issues almost behind them, the couple can now work on their mission to build a home of their own up on North Star Ranch. It seems likely Bear and Raiven will continue to keep followers updated on their relationship and family through social media.
