Yvette "Yve" Arellano is a doctor and one of the new cast members to join 90 Day Fiancé season 9 with her partner Mohamed Abdelhamed. Yve, short for Yvette and pronounced like Eve, is from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and met Mohamed from Alexandria, Egypt, through Instagram DMs. After Yve used the hashtag "#fitbody" on her bikini photo, pushed Mohamed to reach out to Yve, who is 23 years older than him. Yve thought she was getting catfished by Mohamed but went to Egypt anyway, and during the trip, the two became engaged.
If Yve decides to marry Mohamed, she will have to make some huge sacrifices, which could mean the end of their relationship. Yve is a single mother to her 12-year-old son Tharan, who was diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, and Stage II kidney disease. Yve was engaged to Tharan’s dad for eight years, but the two never got married as she didn't feel emotionally supported in the relationship. After Yve separated from her ex eight years ago, she started living on her own and was going through a really difficult time. She started focusing on healing herself and met a lot of like-minded friends along the way. Yve’s friend group consists of yogis and has developed sister-like relationships with them.
In episode 1 of 90 Day Fiancé, Yve explained that she works as a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist. She is passionate about what she does and loves making a difference in people’s lives by assisting them on their journey to recovery. Yve credits her inclination towards spirituality to her career choice, as the 48-year-old's background is Native American and Apache. According to Yve’s profile on Mountain Spirit Integrative Medicine, she has over 20 years of healthcare experience and is trained as a “Doctor of Oriental Medicine (DOM) and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).” With all her experience, Yve is capable of sensing a patient bodily pain. The reality star excels at difficult medical cases, such as autoimmune diseases with inflammation in the body, neuralgia, circulation issues, and high-velocity injuries from slips, falls, and motor vehicle accidents.
Yve, who doesn't care about the age gap between her and Mohamed, also prescribes Chinese herbal medicine to balance the body, advocates food as medicine, and is skilled at nutritional supplementation. “She’s worked with NFL football players, Olympic athletes, MMA fighters, and boxers,” says Yve's workplace description. Yve has two Instagram pages, one named @iamdryve, which is set to private and seems to be her work profile. Her bio mentions that Yve is also the Vice President, Legislative and Public Relations Chair at the New Mexico Society for Acupuncture and Asian Medicine. On her personal Instagram, Yve has shared several photos of her and Mohamed from her September 2019 Egypt trip when they first met in person. On her Instagram, Yve says she’s a lyricist who loves listening to EDM music.
Yve’s recent Instagram photos don’t include Mohamed, but that could be because of the NDAs the couple has to follow for 90 Day Fiancé. Mohamed and Yve could still be together and possibly married since they are following each other on Instagram. However, previews of 90 Day Fiancé show that Mohamed may have "mommy" issues, which isn't Yve's ideal type. Will Yve not adjusting to Mohamed’s conservative beliefs pose a problem in their relationship, or will Mohamed grow up for Yve?
