90 Day Fiancé alum Darcey Silva revealed that there still might be some leftover inklings of romance between her and her ex-fiancé Georgi Rusev. Their relationship wasn't meant to be when Darcey discovered that Georgi was legally married towards the end of their season. While their relationship didn't last after 90 Day Fiancé, the drama between them spilled over into Darcey and her sister's TLC spin-off show Darcey & Stacey. Tensions flared last year when Darcey found out that Georgi had called her ex-boyfriend Jesse Meester out of what she considered retaliation. While things weren't necessarily clear where the two stood, the preview trailer for the third season of Darcey & Stacey promised that they'll be confronting their past romance during a picnic meeting in New York City.
The second season of the spin-off saw Darcey becoming increasingly fed up with Georgi's suspicious and manipulative behavior towards her. A major plight within their relationship was the fact that Georgi refused to get rid of his bachelor pad in D.C. Darcey's discontent for Georgi grew even stronger when she found $1,400 in Georgi's socks. The lack of honesty she felt from him made it feel impossible for her to continue with the marriage. Matters only got worse for the ex-couple when Darcey found out that Georgi had called up her ex-boyfriend Jesse. She believed that this was done purely out of spite. Eventually, Darcey called things off with her ex-fiancé while her and her sister were off in Turkey getting plastic surgery near the end of season 2. She's later gone on to express her feeling of freedom from leaving the unfulfilling relationship.
Questions of where exactly the two ex-lovebirds stood arose after the trailer for TLC's Darcey & Stacey season 3 was released. When asked about Georgi in an interview with ET, Darcey admitted that there were still feelings between the ex-fiancés. She states that, while she found a sense of empowerment after breaking up with Georgi, there's still a spark of potential romance between them. Darcey went on to insinuate that viewers can expect to see whether or not said spark will reignite in the newest season. She said, "Breakups aren't always easy. You guys know I always wear my heart on my sleeve. But at the end of the day, there's a flame that's still lit and I think you guys are definitely going to see all the challenges that Georgi and I go through on this journey together."
While she made it an official break up in Darcey & Stacey season 2, Georgi's social media presence told somewhat of a confusing story. Months after the filming for the Darcey & Stacey season 2 had wrapped, Georgi posted a photo of Darcey on Instagram with a heart emoji. This led viewers to wonder whether or not the two were even separated to begin with.
In the same ET interview, Darcey's sister Stacey admitted that she was not at all shocked when Darcey agreed to meet with Georgi in New York. The couple has been through their fair share of ups, downs, break-ups and make-ups. And there's no telling whether or not these 90 Day Fiancé stars will actually rekindle their relationship.
