RHOSLC: Why Jen Shah's Reunion Dress Is Getting Shade From Fans

Fans of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cannot help but shade Jen Shah's upcoming reunion dress. Every season, dedicated viewers of The Real Housewives look forward to what the ladies will wear to their respective reunion specials. Usually, the women of Real Housewives follow a theme for the reunion, such as a color or even a style. As an example, fans might recall the Real Housewives of Potomac season 6 reunion where all the ladies wore a shade of pink. There was also the Real Housewives of Atlanta season 4 reunion where they all wore white looks.

The reunion special is often one of the most anticipated episodes of each Real Housewives season. Overall, fans loved to judge which cast member was the best dressed and which woman had the worst look. The RHOSLC cast recently filmed the reunion and their looks were revealed shortly after. While fans didn't like their looks as a whole, it seems Jen's reunion dress got the most shade.

Jen Shah received quite a lot of backlash on social media for her unusual dress on the RHOSLC reunion, with many comparing her gown to Disney character Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove and her infamous purple feathered gown. Jen's dress is a slim-fitted purple velvet-like gown with hanging clear crystals on the front and long purple feathers coming out of the shoulders. Instagram fan account @housewivesaddicted was the first to make the comparison, and Jen wasn't too happy about it. The 48-year-old clapped back, "It was actually @iamcardib but I wouldn’t expect you to know that." Rapper Cardi B did wear the exact same Jean-Louis Sabaji gown in November 2021 at the American Music Awards. Jen was appalled that viewers would poke fun at a dress worn by someone so accomplished in the music industry.

Despite Jen, who demanded her charges get dropped, wearing the same dress as Cardi, fans still didn't love the gown. One fan was in disbelief that she and Cardi might have the same taste, calling Jen's dress the "Fashion Nova version." Another fan added that the purple gown looked much better on the "WAP" rapper than the reality star. A third commenter chimed in to say that Jen needs to hire a new stylist after this disastrous reunion look. However, Jen's reunion ensemble wasn't the only one catching some heat. In fact, one fan was shocked by Meredith's light blue pantsuit and likened it to that of a Muppets character. Meredith, who apologized for defending Mary, wore a teal-colored Christian Cowen pantsuit with a sheer neckline and feathered sleeves. Even Heather Gay received a bit of backlash for her dress, as many fans were confused as to why she was wearing a "mother of the bride" dress.

RHOSLC season 2 did not excite the fans like the series' inaugural season, particularly when it comes to Jen's look. Despite wearing the same gown as Cardi B, the purple velvet feather dress was not a crowd-pleaser amongst viewers. Hopefully, Jen will have another shot at the RHOSLC season 3 reunion to up her fashion game.

The 100: The 15 Saddest Deaths In Series History

The CW's post-apocalyptic sci-fi series The 100 featured a lot of loss throughout its 100 episodes, but these The 100 deaths are the saddest in the show. Because The 100 takes place during a time period when Earth is no longer fully inhabitable, the conflicts between characters were almost always a matter of survival, and death truly did lurk around every corner. The show was never one to hold back in terms of delivering emotional moments, and it certainly wasn't shy when it came to killing off pivotal characters starting in just the third episode of The 100 . In fact, many of the deaths changed things about the show as a whole.
