Married At First Sight: Why Alyssa's Marriage Is Doomed In Season 14

Alyssa is one of the blushing brides starring in Married At First Sight season 14, and although she's yet to tie the knot, fans already foresee the tragic downfall of Alyssa's marriage. As is the case with many of the romantics cast in the experimental dating show,  Alyssa has a long list of expectations viewers aren't sure her arranged husband can meet. From not being attracted to her soon-to-be spouse to her picky personality, here's why fans think Alyssa's marriage is already over before it even started in Married At First Sight season 14.

Alyssa's only had a handful of minutes for fans to get to know her, but in the little experience viewers have had with the social media manager, the likelihood of Alyssa's marriage lasting beyond season 14 has nosedived. The main reason why viewers think Alyssa won't have a successful marriage is her particular taste. Whenever a wife is accused of being high maintenance in Married At First Sight, fans believe that her impossible aspirations for her life will be the undoing of her happily ever after. This was the case for season 13's Myrla, who asserted her arranged spouse lacked the qualities she looks for in a husband. Sadly, fans believe Alyssa will play the role of the overcritical wife in season 14.

Within her few scenes in Married At First Sight, Alyssa was quick to exhibit that she has a particular taste she's not keen on straying from. The season 14 cast member's picky personality was effectively conveyed as Alyssa searched for the perfect wedding dress. Alyssa held nothing back and swiftly eliminated several dresses from the lineup before even trying them on. The hopeless romantic further proved her meticulous disposition when she revealed that she purchased 10 wedding dresses before going shopping for a dress in case she didn't like any the store had to offer. Although she was able to find a few more dresses that she deems fit to wear on her wedding day, fans are concerned that Alyssa's high maintenance attitude will translate into her taste in husbands. Fans fear that the relationship experts' pick for Alyssa, Chris, won't meet her expectations.

While dress shopping, Alyssa confirmed that she doesn't need to be completely attracted to her husband when she first sees him, but there does need to be some sort of immediate connection for their relationship to have a fighting chance in Married At First Sight. Although the experts successfully paired a couple of spouses that have an affinity for animals, viewers don't think the dating series' matchmakers found a husband that satisfies all of Alyssa's requirements. A Reddit user assessed, "The way [Alyssa] picked those dresses apart, I know she’s gonna pick Chris apart." Some viewers think Alyssa's expectations are so high, she won't be able to feign interest in Chris and make it to the end of season 14. A fan predicted, "[Alyssa] won’t participate in anything, and they definitely aren’t moving in together and will end filming early."

Alyssa is yet to lay eyes on her soon-to-be-husband, but Married At First Sight fans are already certain the social media manager won't be a wife for long. From Chris' appearance not meeting her standards to her picky dress shopping excursion, Alyssa is playing the part of the high-maintenance wife well. Hopefully, Alyssa has 10 more husbands to pick from if Chris isn't the man for her in Married At First Sight season 14.
