90 Day Fiancé: Why Kimberly Should Move On From Usman

In episode 13 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Kimberly Menzies gave Usman “Sojaboy” Umar an ultimatum: either provide a grand gesture to prove his love or she goes home, but most viewers think she should move on, anyway. Kimberly Menzies is a 50-year-old who’s not afraid to say how she feels. After talking to Sojaboy, a famous Nigerian rapper, for about a year, she fell in love and flew to Tanzania to meet him for the first time. However, over the course of their trip, Kimberly has been less than happy with the way the relationship was progressing.

Usman was not ready to make a commitment. For the first half of their trip, he referred to Kimberly as a “potential” girlfriend. Although he stood up for her when his crew made nasty comments, many viewers believed 90DF's Sojaboy wasn’t truly interested in Kimberly. She booked a honeymoon suite, constantly pressured Usman for intimacy, and bought him various expensive gifts, but the two didn’t make their relationship official until after Usman finished his music video. However, he was hiding the truth about his video, which appears to have caused the biggest blowup between the couple.

When Usman told Kimberly about his song "Zara," he stated Zara was a name he gave to represent all the women around the world, but that was a lie. After making their relationship official, he revealed Zara is a woman he dated after his ex-wife. Usman  revealed that he loved Zara, but she broke up with him, leading him to write this song for her. However, that wasn’t the only lie. For about eight months out of the year, he was getting to know Kimberly, 90DF's Usman was dating Zara and never mentioned it. As she was falling in love, he was already in love with someone else and let her believe there was a chance for a relationship.

Kimberly was less than happy. Amid their arguing, she threw water in his face, took back a necklace, and threatened to return to the US. The episode ended with Kimberly receiving a text from Usman to meet her at the pool, but she would probably be better off continuing to pack her bags. From the beginning of their trip, Usman has appeared to be less than enthusiastic about their meeting. He even admitted that he put in zero effort for Kimberly on the trip, which should prove to her that her time wasn’t as valuable as she thought.

Although viewers have constantly flip-flopped between 90DF's Usman and Kimberly, it has become very apparent that they are not suitable for each other. While it’s understandable that Usman was there primarily for work purposes and his culture is strict about relationships, his general apathetic nature towards Kimberly hints there might be more to it. On the other hand, Kimberly has a forceful personality and can be quick to explode, but her feelings appear more genuine for him.

In the end, Kimberly would most likely be happier ending the relationship and moving on from Usman. However, there are still a few more episodes left in the season, and viewers are anxiously waiting to see whether 90DF's Kimberly and Usman will make it to the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Tell All as an official couple.
