The USS Enterprise being destroyed became a Star Trektrope but Star Trek: Prodigy delivered the best reason to destroy a signature starship. Star Trek: Prodigy season 1 saw the ragtag teenage crew of the USS Protostar save Starfleet and the galaxy from the Living Construct, a weapon devised by the Vau'Nakat to force Starfleet to annihilate itself. The Protostar's demise capped off an incredibly poignant and satisfying finale of the family-friendly CGI animated series that also opened up new possibilities for Star Trek: Prodigy season 2.
