Harboring the fugitive Jack Crusher (Ed Speelers) put the Titan in the crosshairs of the Shrike, the fearsome starship commanded by Captain Vadic (Amanda Plummer). Picard episode 2 reveals that Vadic has been chasing Jack and his mother, Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) for weeks before they eventually sought help from Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart).
