If you have friends who mysteriously vanished from society and social media for large chunks of time this past summer, it very likely wasn’t anything supernatural — or was it? Actually, it may have been the strange supernatural occurrences taking place in Hawkins, Indiana back in 1985 that captured them. If your friends were temporarily out of touch, it could be because they were at home binge-watching the weird world of Stranger Things, one of the most wildly popular shows of all those that have come out recently on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and beyond. Some of them emerged from soaking in the supernatural alone with their TV rubbing their stunned eyes and wearing fan gear like some of the best Stranger Things apparel choices, including officially licensed tee-shirts, pajamas, and even cosplay costumes. Once you’ve spent a week in the world of Hawkins Indiana, it’s hard to let it go, as you may have found out, or have yet to find out in full.
Bob Clark's 1974 horror film Black Christmas is one of the most influential slasher movies of all time, and it has an unforgettably chilling ending. In Black Christmas Billy is considered the villain as he picks off victims one by one, and after almost 50 years, his identity is still debated. The story takes place in a sorority house, where the residents are throwing a Christmas party before they depart. Little do they know, however, that a perverted killer has made his way into the house, and is preparing to pick them off one by one. The Billy Black Christmas character remains in the shadows for most of the movie, that is, until the chilling ending.
