Uhuras Next Star Trek Promotion Makes Voyagers Eternal Ensign Worse

Star Trek: Voyager's Ensign Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) continues to get shown up by other characters for promotions, and it seems the latest will be Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding). Harry Kim was the youngest member of the senior staff on Voyager during all seven seasons of the show and manned the operations station on the USS Voyager's bridge. Although Harry was a valued member of Voyager's crew, his status as a seemingly eternal Ensign has become something of a running joke within the franchise.

One of CBS' newest sitcoms,  Ghosts , features a cast full of spectral characters that each hail from a distinct time period and come with their own unique backstory and death.
