Released from 2001 to 2003, Peter Jackson's wildly successful trilogy brought the beloved fantasy novel by author J.R.R. Tolkien to life on the big screen. The first film, The Fellowship of the Ring, followed the forming of the titular team tasked with destroying the One Ring. This includes the elf Legolas, the wizard Gandalf and the dwarf Gimli.
