Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: How to Unlock Birdo

Birdo has long been a fan-favorite racer that players will now be able to unlock in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of a new Wave of DLC coming to the game. Along with eight new tracks that will no doubt make races even more interesting between players, Birdo harkens back to when they were a character in Mario Kart Wii. Notoriously an extremely difficult racer to unlock in that title, requiring players to participate in nearly 1,400 races, Birdo seems to be a much more accessible character this time around.
