Former Pop Idol star Darius Campbell Danesh has passed away at 41. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, to an Iranian father and Scottish mother. Known as Darius Danesh, he first rose to fame in 2001 when he competed on the ITV show Popstars. During the show, Darius thrilled the audience with his intense interpretation of Britney Spears' "...Baby One More Time." That same year, he appeared on the first season of Simon Cowell's reality talent show Pop Idol. He found more success on Pop Idol as he finished third behind Gareth Gates and the show's winner, Will Young. Following his success, Simon offered him a record deal, but he refused the offer for a chance to work with producer Steve Lillywhite.
Bob Clark's 1974 horror film Black Christmas is one of the most influential slasher movies of all time, and it has an unforgettably chilling ending. In Black Christmas Billy is considered the villain as he picks off victims one by one, and after almost 50 years, his identity is still debated. The story takes place in a sorority house, where the residents are throwing a Christmas party before they depart. Little do they know, however, that a perverted killer has made his way into the house, and is preparing to pick them off one by one. The Billy Black Christmas character remains in the shadows for most of the movie, that is, until the chilling ending.
